Our Beautiful new Grandma Mimi Story Garden at Case-Halstead Library is open and a great new story is up to read! It is hot now but in the mornings and evenings it is pretty nice and stop by before you come in and register to win a Dolly Parton Prize Pack in our annual “Get a Library Card” promotion, stop by the Story Garden and check out “Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library” a fun adventure for all.
Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library is a humorous and educational picture book that teaches children why dragons—and by extension, disruptive behavior—don’t belong in libraries, while promoting proper library etiquette in a fun way.
Also if you want a nature walk, enjoy the beautiful trail around Willow Pond over by the Lake building and enjoy “Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn”. The new Story Garden is in memory of Mrs. Marianne “Mimi” Vonnahme and is presented with the generous donations of the Mark and Marilyn Vonnahme family! Thanks to them and to our friend Cheryl for curating and caring for the Mimi Story Walks and come on out and enjoy today!
